Dr Jirair Ratevosian joins Aurum USA board

The Aurum Institute USA is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Jirair Ratevosian, BA, BS, DrPH, to its Board of Directors effective July 1, 2026. Dr Ratevosian joins the Board at a pivotal time for global health and international development, bringing more than two decades of leadership experience across government, academia, philanthropy, multilateral institutions, and the private sector.

Dr. Ratevosian is an internationally recognized public health leader and policy expert whose career focuses on advancing health equity, strengthening health systems, and expanding access to life-saving health services globally. He served as Acting Chief of Staff and Senior Advisor for Health Equity Policy in the Office of the United States Global AIDS Coordinator (OGAC), where he played a leadership role in shaping U.S. global HIV/AIDS policy and shaping one of the world's most impactful health programs.

Jirair previously served on the board of the Global Fund and as the Executive Director for Global Policy and in Government Affairs at Gilead Sciences, leading international partnerships and access-to-medicines initiatives across Africa, Asia among other regions. He has held senior legislative support roles in the U.S. Congress, where he contributed to major global health and development initiatives, including PEPFAR reauthorization and international health financing.
